The RCMA Certificate

How the certificate of completion is earned, what it shows, and how employers verify it.

The short answer

The RCMA certificate is a certificate of completion issued by RCMA to participants who complete a live program and reach the pass mark. Every certificate carries its own number and a QR code that opens its verification page on the RCMA website, so an employer can confirm it in seconds. It is a certificate of completion from RCMA, not a professional accreditation from an external body.

How you earn it

  • Join a live cohort of an RCMA program, such as Retail Category Management Essentials
  • Take part in the live sessions
  • Submit the course assignments
  • Reach the pass mark set for the program, based on your graded work

Certificates are issued after the cohort ends, once results are final. Each trainee can then view and download their certificate from their account.

What the certificate shows

  • The participant's name
  • The program name
  • The cohort and its dates
  • The date of issue
  • A unique certificate number
  • A QR code that opens the certificate's verification page

How to verify an RCMA certificate

Scan the QR code on the certificate, or open the verification link printed on it. The verification page on rcmaassociation.com shows whether the certificate is valid, with the participant's name, the program and the date of issue. If a certificate has been revoked, the page says so.

What the certificate is, and what it is not

The certificate confirms that the participant completed an RCMA program and passed its assessment. It is not a degree, a licence or a professional accreditation, and RCMA is not an accrediting body. RCMA is also not affiliated with the Category Management Association (CMA) in the United States.
